Diako Coffee is the realization of the American dream by an immigrant of Ghana in West Africa, George Bediako, President of the BBW International Inc. I immigrated in the late 1970's to the United States. Having been exposed to the free market enterprise system in the United States, but still closely connected with African culture and natural resources, I dreamed about bringing the perceived richness of Africa into the fertile capitalist ground of America. I conceived the idea of an African who grew up on coffee and cocoa farm, roasting some of the world's finest arabica coffees grown in Africa for the American gourmet coffee lovers. As the son of coffee and cocoa farmer, I developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in coffee production. Our coffee starts its cycle as 100% Arabica green beans purchased directly from growers, exported to the US and slow roasted in Virginia. We package our roasted beans within 5 minutes of roasting. Packaged carefully in heat sealed, air tight bags along with a one-way de-gasing valve to optimize freshness. We are dedicated to selling 100% fresh roasted African Arabica coffee in a manner that respects, supports and profits the people, community and the land that sustains us.
